Dansk co-produceret film vinder hovedpris på CPH:DOX
Vinderne på en af verdens største dokumentarfilmfestivaler, CPH:DOX, er her til aften fundet. Tre af de i alt seks priser (hovedprisen DOX:AWARD, den journalistiske pris F:ACT Award samt Politikens Publikumspris) går til film, der på hver sin måde handler om Syrien. Den delvist danske "De sidste mænd i Aleppo" af syriske Feras Fayyad og debuterende co-instruktør Steen Johannessen løber med hovedprisen DOX:AWARD, mens hollandske "Radio Kobanï" løber med prisen for bedste journalistiske film, F:ACT Award. Politikens Publikumspris gik til den Oscar-nominerede instruktør Matthew Heineman med Raqqa Is Being Slaugthered Silently-portrættet "City of Ghosts".

De danske film er også stærkt placeret blandt priserne. Foruden "De sidste mænd i Aleppo" modtager Jeppe Røndes EU-drama med Mads Brügger og Mikael Bertelsen, "The John Dalli Mystery", en special mention i DOX:AWARD-kategorien, side om side med Austin Lynch (søn af David Lynch) og Matthew Booths "Gray House". Og så løber danske Camilla Magid med sejren i den nordiske konkurrence, NORDIC:DOX, for filmen "Land of the Free".
